CARRIAGE DRIVING

Carriage driving can be particularly beneficial for those who can no longer ride due to a disability, or for those who would prefer a non-ridden challenge. Drivers progress in the same way as riders with similar benefits:

Improved co-ordination
Improved muscle power
Improved balance
Relaxation through rhythmic movement
Being out in the open air

Some of the non-physical benefits are also similar including:

Decision making
Achievement
Self-confidence
Making friends and having fun
